DANIEL GRASSKAMP
Award-winning editor and director with over 15 years’ of filmmaking experience shaping stories across TV commercials, campaigns, documentaries, trailers and narrative film. I’ve worked with brands including Google, Mars and Lidl, and collaborated with agencies such as AMV BBDO, WMH&I and Be The Fox.
Recent highlights include directing the German TV commercial for KardiaMobile - Real Stories, Real Lives, and editing the Cannes Lions-winning campaign The Gravy Race for Mars Pet Care.
Other projects range from directing commercials for Lidl, Costain, and UK Power Networks to editing the Sheba Hope Grows campaign starring Auliʻi Cravalho (streamed on Prime Video), trailers for the feature documentary Reef Builders (featured in Variety), and Channel 4's ad-break takeover Behind Closed Doors for the Alzheimer’s Society, featuring Anne-Marie Duff.
Alongside editing and directing, I also grade in DaVinci Resolve, with credits for Decathlon, the BFI-funded documentary Maisie, and trailers for Anna Richardson: Love, Loss and Dementia (Channel 4).

My debut feature film Cat Skin, which I wrote, directed and edited, screened internationally at festivals including PÖFF and Giffoni. It won the Jury Award at the Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival, was broadcast on Freeview, streamed on Prime, and has over 12 million views.
As a writer, I’ve been an Academy Nicholl Quarter-finalist, an Austin Film Festival Second Rounder, and a Page Awards Finalist. I also placed in the top 10% for BBC Writersroom and was shortlisted for Channel 4’s directing scheme.
From script to final cut, I bring a director’s creative vision and an editor’s technical precision.
